Does anyone know where I can get or have repaired a 1979 key/seat belt warning buzzer unit that snaps on the fuse block?

This is a hard part to find. You're looking for a GM #14004971. This was superceded by GM #12510117 which is also now discontinued.
I don't know of a rebuilding/repair source for this part but I expect it could be repaired. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I have searched for the same component and while I picked up a few from swap meets, I learned the buzzer sounds differ which makes it even more challenging. Ernie at Willcox Corvette, is one who I have corresponded with in regards to the reproduction of the boards inside the buzzer. Willcox makes tach boards here in the US and they also make the LOW FUEL light board so they have experience with this stuff. The downside has been the reproduction of the buzzer which is a mechanical unit...like a horn. But you know with digital sounds, the original buzzer sound could be approximated.

This was a Chevrolet-only part. As far as I can tell, it was also Corvette-only although it's possible it had some other Chevrolet applications. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
