Is there a definitive story with descriptions/photos of the various generator/alternator braces used between 1953 and 1967 and I've just missed it? It seems that even most of the JGs do not get specific enough in this area. Perhaps there's even a vendor whose catalog is good in this area? Anyone? Thanks.

Re: Generator/Alternator Braces
Loren,
I have collected about 40 to 50 Chevrolet & Corvette alternator/generator braces & brackets over the past 40 years but I do not have all of them from 1953 to 1967. Do you have a specific question about a specific model? I might be able to help.

Re: Generator/Alternator Braces
David, the question arises because a good-intentioned cleaning of the garage yielded 2 such braces - unmarked and unidentified (if I ever knew where they came from) and the realization that __ hours would be spent trying to ID them. Probably more than __ hours, because parts book descriptions are somewhat lacking. Just wishful thinking.......but, Thanks.- Top

Take some nice clear, crisp photos of the braces you have along with some accurate measurements and I'd give you better than even odds that someone here will be able to identify them for you.Leif
