    63 differential rebuild ?

Have mine all apart and ready for rebuild. I have been told by a someone in the rebuilding business that the 63's are very vulnerable to internal breakage, he strongly recommends getting guts from a 71-9 unit. Have a lot of people had problems with these in the past.

The posi unit was made by Dana. Why not post a picture of the posi unit as it may have already been replaced. The Dana unit went from together to apart frequently. Both my 63's have the newer units.

As Harry mentions, the 1963 positraction unit is the weak point of the 1963 differential assembly. Always replace these with the Eaton unit used for 1965-79.
