    Color resale consideration (C2)?

Members: What do you see as a general population view of the resale value of the 65 Glen or the 67 Goodwood Green? WHile
I like these colors, I am trying to gain a more objective view for myself and as giving advice to others? (Hope to avoid controversy here.
By General Population I mean corvette people in general)... Thanks....T

I feel most want what ever is on the trim tag. Color is subject to what ever the buyer wants.

        T,

When applied properly Glen Green is one of my favorite colors especially with a saddle leather interior. But it is a 65 and 67's sell better with any color especially if it is a BB car.
So if resale if your goal select the 67!!!! If your looking for a driver that will knock everyone's eyes out go with the Glen Green 65!
Just an opinion and you know everyone has one! An opinion too!

I'm with Joe on this. I don't usually comment on colors but I have a 67 coupe, Goodwood Green with Saddle interior. I also prefer the Glen Green over Goodwood. But not available for 67. Alas, had to have a Powerglide with Factory Air and Power Steering so that drove me to what I bought. I love the combo anyway. It grew on me.

Couldn't resist; since the discussion is about green cars. I have a '72 Elkhart green conv...Pulled up to a stop sign one day...there were a couple of little boys standing on the corner.one looked over to me and yelled, "Hey mister...your car is the color of boogers."

To each his own; I like Goodwood Green a lot, because a) it's on the trim tag, b) it's not resale red, and c)it looks a lot better than when I found it.

I've had my Glen Green 65 convertible long enough (43 years) to see the color go in and out of favor more than a couple of times. It appears to be back in favor. Obviously I am in favor of painting a Glen Green car it's original color. I also had a 67 Goodwood coupe. I liked that color also but prefer the 65 Glen Green. When I called in response to the for sale ad in the early 70's for the 65, the owner's sister took the call. I asked her what color it was. She said Black?? IMO it's a great color that looks different in different lights.

green is 67 was popular, but now it is not a high desired color, this is what I have observed at auctions, forums etc., by the way I like the green.

I like the Glen Green as I have a '65 painted the original Glen Green color. It's been in the familiy since 1974.

Let's face it guys. One can never dispute taste or preference. Because; there is no right or wrong. It's simply a question of what one likes or dislikes. And, you don't even have to have a reason for liking or disliking something. I do agree with Mike though; If it's on the documentation, that's the way it stays. My car is still in the original paint, chrome and glass. Of course the frame, trailing arms, "A" frames, top and interior have all been replaced. It took me almost 30 years to put on a set of P02 Custom Wheel Covers, because they weren't on the sticker. I didn't have a problem with the removable hardtop though; I guess just because it is removable. Talk about a waste...It really looks nice sitting on its carrier, in the corner of the garage. The point Paul made about the color going in and out...I've been around the automobile business all my life...worked for General Motors for over 40 years (30 with Pontiac Division and 12 in product training). The fact is; green is one of the "earth tones." And most people who've been in the business know that "earth tones" have a way of cycling in and out of favor.
