05 Navigation disc update

any one know if you have to do a software update first before you install the latest 2014 navigation disc? I found the latest disc ($200) but read that it may not work with 05-07?

I will be going to my local GM dealership tomorrow and will ask them but thought others here may have some knowledge on this.

The Nav software now comes on one disk -- as of a year or two ago. I had no issues introducing my 2008 to the single disk, but that doesn't help you.

Save yourself the trip..call the GM navigation Disc center at 877-628-3472 or gmnavdisc.com.

The issue with your car may be that two free disc upgrades were included but that program is now expired...

Thanks John, Just went to their site and see a disclaimer that a software upgrade may be needed, I will give them a call and find out what is needed. Looks like the two free discs are no longer offered though - won't stop me from asking
