Headlight / Power Window circuit breaker clip stamp?

I am needing to replace one of the clips that is used to hold the circuit breaker for the healight / power windows to the side under the dash. Looking around I notice that some of the repros have a D stamped to the back if it, but the one that I have (which I believe is an original) is blank. Are they supposed to have a stamp or not, or is either way correct? This is for a 63-66.

My 66 original one, which came off with the breaker, has the D.

Robert, I hope you or someone else might help. The headlight circuit breaker clip on my 1964 convertible is missing. The circuit breaker is just dangling under the dash. I can order a clip but I don't know where it goes-what does it attach to? I have the 1964 AIM but the illustration is not clear on this point (it is just a poor reproduction), and none of the parts catalogs contain illustrations that show where the clip should be attached. I apologize for high-jacking this thread but it is a related issue. Can you or someone "talk me through" the proper mounting point for the clip or, if possible, provide a pic with the clip in the correct location.

Follow up comment / question to the proper location for the circuit breaker clip. The two red wires coming out of the taped wiring harness that connect to the 40A circuit breaker are rather short - about 5 to 6 inches max. The only fixed item that is anywhere near that the breaker could reach is the rigid metal hood release bracket that is mounted to the under side of the cross member. My hood release mounting bracket is painted black and has scratches toward the top on the back side that could be from a circuit breaker clip. Is this the correct position for the clip and circuit breaker?

        Thanks again -
        Ed

          ED,

There is just one for P/W and one for the Headlight Motors. Here is a picture of it's Clip location (bottom left ) . The headlight one goes above it behind the cross brace .

            Jim,
Thanks for the info and the pic. I see the one mounted to the side foot kick. I assume that the headlight breaker clip attaches to the back side of the cross brace - as the brace is a "U" shaped channel on its side - is that correct?

            Thanks again

              Ed ,

No it does not . It mounts the same way as the P/W clip , on the same outside , as you call it foot kick, about 5 inches higher up . The hole for the clip is just a tad behind and above the cross brace.

              Jim.

                    Jim,
I see it! Just barely - good thing for the bright red wire or I would never have picked it out. Thanks again.

Yep , that's it ! Not a lot of room in there for a picture.
