    what is the difference between the ignition shields for a 67 427 single 4 barrel and the tri power?

    I'm no '67 expert, but Noland's Vol 2, pages 436 and 437 describes the differences, and has drawings. Seems that the top distrib shield for '67 big blocks with U69 changed to #3900517. Other than that, the only difference between single 4 bbl (L36) and the two tri-power versions (L68 [400hp] and L71 [435hp]) is found in the front grounding clip (riveted to the front of the shield). L36 and L68 used front clip 3904852; the 435 hp version used 3904855.
