1963 SWC Head light movement question

My 63 headlamp boxes with the switch both go down when they are up. If they are down only the drivers side goes up with the switch and I have to bring the drivers side up manually. Both sides did both go up with the inside switch once. Any suggestions on how to solve this?
    Thanks

The motors and worms on the steel armature shafts are probably okay.

Typical failure mode is the pot metal worm gear's teeth distort and cause a jam at full open or closed.

Remove the motor/gearbox assemblies, disassemble the gearbox, inspect and replace any damaged or worn parts. Use a full synthetic NGLI #2 grease for the gearbox upon assembly.

It's a fairly simple, straight forward procedure that is well documented in your 1963 Corvette Shop Manual.
