Does anyone know the paint code for the grey paint on knock offs and bolt ons that is avalible? I have an old can of PPG Ditzler paint for the wheels yet at Car Quest they were unable to mix since some of the tints were no longer available. Would like to spray on. Anyone found the correct paint recently?

Re: Grey Paint for Knock offs.....Bolt ons
1965/1966 knock offs and 1967 bolt ons? I used some of the Ditzler DDL 32961 (Dark Grey Wheel Acrylic Lacquar) Paint I found. Car Quest thought it was about 30 years old not sure. They thought the paint would be bad. Yet, mixed with some reducer and the wheels came out great. Had the rough texture just like the originals. Now Car Quest found the paint on their computer since it is PPG. They said they only had about half the tints so they could not mix. I did find on a thread here that a Dupont paint code 9931V would work. I'll check on that next week. Just looking for a good paint for the future.- Top
