1957 Flag Emblems
I'm looking at two different flag emblems. One has a "gold border" around the white and black checkers, in the checkered flag. And the other does not. Can anyone tell me which one is correct for NCRS judging ? Thanks! Bill

Bill, is the gold border around the perimeter of the flags or around each of the checkers? I assume you are referring to the front and rear emblems and not the FI side flag emblems. I just checked my front and rear emblems that I purchased and installed in 1965 and no gold borders around the checkers, only the "pole" that is attached to the flags. I have my original emblems stored and will check them.

Steve, Thanks for checking on your original emblems. I am referring to the front and rear emblems only. And the ones I'm looking at have a gold border around the perimeter of the flags (2) as well as around each individual checker, on the black and white "checkered" flag. I believe those might be Trim Part reproductions, but not sure. Thanks for your help! BillComment

I just checked my NOS front and back emblems on the 57 and they do not have a gold border around the flags.Comment
