    1975 vin

    I am looking at a 1975 with a vin of 1Z37J5S435825. According to the volume two NCRS specifications guide the vin should be 1Z67...... for all 1975's. Is the guide incorrect??? I see ads in the driveline for 75's with 1Z37...... so I am asking the questions. Thanks

      67 is for convertibles, 37 is for coupes.

          Your serial # breaks down as follows:1Z37J5S435825.

          1= Chevrolet
          Z= Corvette
          37=Coupe
          J= L48 Engine
          5= 1975
          S= St. Louis
          4= The number 4 is for all 1975 in the model year.
          35825= 35,825th car made in 1975

          FYI; This car was manufactured in the last month of 1975 production which was July.
