1967 Corvette Firewall Clutch Return Spring Bracket

Anyone got a pic of this elusive animal?

My '67 has the earlier style (that looks like a hook) that the AIM says "WAS 3832895 RETAINER"

But the new one is 3913803... and I can't find one to buy anywhere (everyone just lists the earlier 63-66 style.

Any help/ideas?

Here is a photo... with a little work you could probably make one out of some flat stock.
If you need a better photo, let me know. I might be able to get a better shot, although the car is now complete and that area is difficult to photograph.

Two styles existed for '67. The first style was the carryover '66, and second was the '67 style. There was a nice article in the Restorer about this a few months ago. My early '67 (car # 183) has the '66 style. From memory, the article quoted use of the '66 style for a thousand cars or so.

Hi--Unless I misunderstand the question, Corvette Central sells the "Clutch Return Spring Bracket on Firewall', part number 532762 (for 1967), for $8.25. They also sell the '63-66 bracket, part number 532761 for $9.25. I have ordered both brackets within the past year. Hope this helps. Rob Vanderhoeven

GM #3913803 was discontinued without supercession in October, 1973. That's 41 years ago so I'm not surprised that NOS examples are nearly impossible to find.
