finding a 63 SW at the National Convention?

I'm a little frustrated at the lack of privately owned 63 SW Coupes for sale in the Rocky Mountain region and wonder if there might be some for sale in Kansas City at the National Convention. It's close enough to Denver to brave the July heat and the cast of thousands likely in attendance. I've wanted one for years and now's the time. Of course if you have one or know of someone who's ready to part with it, please let me know--the closer to CO the better!

Ah, as far as I know you can not advertise a car for SALE and any NCRS event.

But you have to realize that not many are left on the planet. If you go by the 50% rule, of the 10K made there are only 5k left, maybe. So a 63 SWC is a rare bird.

ooops! I hadn't realized that. Thank you for educating me. At any rate, maybe this little query will get the word passed around.

Post here on the for sale / wanted site or the CF forum. Seems like there are a lot of them for sale now that everyone want a 63 split window coupe & the prices are way up.

Ken, thanks for your reply. I agree that now that I'm a serious buyer prices have really shot up--never fails. I have been checking the classifieds here and tried posting a WTB, but couldn't manage to get it done. By the way, what's the "CF forum"?

Every month in Hemmings there seem to be many for sale - see what's close to you or hire someone to take a look for you if you see one that really interests you.

                  Richard,

CF is short for Corvette Forum.

What a great bunch of guys! Thanks, now I feel like I'm getting some traction. Classes are over in a couple of weeks here at CU Boulder, the Featherlight is ready to hitch to wifey's Tahoe and my piggy bank is ready to be sacrificed. Doesn't matter if it's north, south, east or west--just make it fewer than 1,000 miles, please! And, just so we don't annoy the webmaster (this is a Tech Form strictly speaking), best use my email landeira@Colorado.edu.

AS others have said its the Corvette Forum. Check the old posts as a lot of people give up trying to sell if not sold quickly. Ebay & Crags list are also places to look but as with all adds ask questions & ask for component pictures. Missing parts are costly. Last but not least have patience & I recommend buying a Corvette DONE RIGHT. It's way cheaper than buying a car that needs. GOOD LUCK
