Re: muncie drive and driven speedo gears
Mike, I'm looking in a 1/81 dated parts catalog and find a driven gear #3860329 listed for 65-66 w/4.56 ratio. It is also listed for 67 w/4.56 and the description of 20 teeth - steel. For the drive gear, #3845079 is listed for 57-62 w/4.56, 63 w/4.56 p/trac axle, and for 67 w/4.56. It is described as 1 59/64 O.D X 29/64 thick. However, it is described as 6 teeth for 57-62 and 67, but 8 teeth for 63. Kind of confusing, but maybe a lead. I'm sure Joe L. can confirm, but I suspect both are long discontinued. Chip.- Top

Re: muncie drive and driven speedo gears
Hi Mike. I was recently putting a 64 tranny together and we used a steel shaft gear with six angled grooves or gears. It was the small shaft(1 1/4 ) I believe. The ratio was 4:11 so I think it had 19 teeth? . It was plastic though not steel. Hope this helps Curt.- Top
