I don't use covers much anymore either, but my favorite is a thin cotton cover which breathes very easily. It will keep the dust off but is light enough to put in a residential washing machine. It has elastic around the bottom and a plastic zipper on the side. Under the zipper is a cotton flap that keeps the zipper off of the paint. I don't remember where I got it but it was probably K Mart.

I don't use them much any more, but I've always used the cotton/flannel covers from California Car Cover; don't remember their trade name for it, but it's gray cotton on the outside and soft flannel on the inside; breathes, and won't scratch your paint.
      John:

It's called PLUSHWEAVE cover by California Car Cover. 100 percent cotton with a flannel lining. I have the same one for my 1967 car. I like it, but it does let some dust and dirt thru.

Overall, a very good indoor cover at a decent price.

I also like the California Car Cover "Dust Tops"-Have 3 of them. Light weight, don't scratch, and do keep any dust off. Concerning other post that said rubber backed fender covers, suppose the ones used when working under hood, damage BC/CC-I haven't observed this. Anyone want to educate me on this? Do they hurt paint??

I had a pair of them on the C6 over the winter just passed. No harm no foul.

I thought it was the other way -- that they damaged lacquer, but I left one on the 1970 for a winter a couple of years ago with no issues. IDK

Article from previous Restorer said rubber backed fender mats would harm NEWER LACQUER paint as the "newer type paint". Didn't mention BC/CC.

California Car Cover is owned by Jr DeFrank. Originally from the SW corner of PA. Highly recommend their car covers.

Went to a friends wedding a year ago. She had long black table clothes that I bought cheap. One table cloth will cover a 63 with extra dragging on the floor. Ten bucks.
