Is Tom Dewitt the source for Eckler's Restoration Radiator

This weekend Eckler's is running an Easter special with 20% off on purchases over $551. Me being the cheap skate I am, one of the parts that's included is a restoration 3155316 aluminum radiator at a really decent price that is stamped with the correct date.

Does anyone know if Dewitt is the source for these radiators?

    Thanks!
    Mike

As far as I know DeWitt is the source for this style radiator. I had a conversation with another well known radiator manufacturer that had a customer that wanted a correct radiator for his mid year small block. After describing the OEM design of this radiator they sent their customer to DeWitt.

I'm fairly sure those are DeWitt's radiators but why not just call Ecklers and ask them who does their reproduction radiators?

Good idea, I called them and they said they could not give out that information. Interestingly in the search box on their site I typed in Dewitt and guess what popped up.

Tom DeWitt is the ONLY source, anywhere, any time, for the stacked-plate Harrison aluminum restoration radiators; regardless who sells it, Tom made it. Here's how he makes them:

Great guy to do business with. If you get the chance stop by his shop and he will show you how the radiators are made. He stands behind his product 110%. He went out of his way to take care of a faulty rad that was out of warranty for me. Everything is done in house now so the few problems he had in the past are gone.

In my opinion, the only way to go when replacing a 1963-72 Corvette small block aluminum radiator is to use the DeWitts reproduction. This goes for whether one's interest is in a correct radiator or, even, just for a driver needing a SERVICE radiator. Yes, the DeWitts is expensive. However, as I've mentioned previously, on an inflation-adjusted basis, it's less expensive than the radiator would have been if one had purchased it from GM when they were last available. And, one gets a better radiator, too. So, it's the only way to go. Period.
