Further to my recent thread about my battery problems, I've begun an effort to re-establish what I did back in the early 90's with my alternator(s) as it now affects my battery charging problem;
The alternator I now have on the car and it is now suspect as the cause of my problem is a:
1100628-37A
361-12v NEG
I now blieve this to be a replacement 1969 unit I got from "Chicago Corvette" (sorry, but I lived within 15 minutes of their place back then).
I have another unit that looks to be my original that I apparently never restored. It is a;
110063 (rest filed off)
9J10 12v NEG
Now then, being away from my reference books, can any one ID these two units???
I have the correct SHP pully and fan (loose) to go on a third alternator that was a new unit I bought from Sears back then. My intention is to put this one on my engine and then restore one (or both)of the above units. I also have another new (correct) Voltage regulator, but I'm considering trying to get a new solid state unit to go with my new Sears alternator in order to get back on the road.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
