rear view mirror bushing in 64 vette

I recently purchased a new date coded inside rear view mirror and a rear view support. I also purchased the inside mirror to support bushing to hold it tight. My queston is which part does the bushing go on to keep it tight? Thanks,Ron

The little stamped bushing fits in the hole in the arm that's part of the mirror - see photo below.
