    67 rally wheel manufacturer recommendation

I am looking at purchasing a single 67 rally wheel for a spare tire. Does anybody have any recommendations for a manufacturer? All the main retailers (Ecklers, Paragon, Corvette Central) want approx $115.00 per wheel plus shipping. I notice both Jegs and Summit are selling Wheel Vintique's for $77.00 with free shipping. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Is your car going to be primarily a show car or a driver? If you're going to drive your car then I would think that the Vintque's wheel serves the purpose just fine. IMHO

I would expect that those Corvette specialty companies are pricing a factory wheel with factory stampings and possibly correct date code. Wheel Vintiques wheel will have none and I am told has a slight (but detectable) difference in the "slot" size. If you look around, you can probably find a good used wheel for your car. You may have to look a little longer for correct date code. This is what I would do so that if you decide to have your car judged at some point, you are all set. Chip.

          Paul -

The 1967 "DC" rally wheel doesn't have a visible date code stamping - it's covered by the tire; the visible date code stamp adjacent to the valve stem hole didn't start until 1968.

Paul, original DC rims are so cheap why not just get an original DC wheel and mount your spare on it? ARA
