Replacement for Krylon 1613?

I think that is what I am looking for. When restoring my 66 years ago, I used many cans of 1613 (right number isn't it?) for semi gloss black and I got great results. A search here for replacements of suitable sheen turns up zilch. A google search turns up this now as a semi FLAT black. Is my memory fading that badly?

For the various brackets, clamps, jack, etc, that are semi gloss, what are you all using? This is for the vapor canister.

Btw, thank you again gents for the photos and DIY on the canister removal. Piece of cake.

I believe that the "old" product is sold under the Krylon Industrial name.

I'd just clean it up and stick it back in there for another 40 years, but...

It's available at Fastenal or Grainger, you just need to buy a case of 6.

I think there is an ad in the current DriveLine for Krylon 1613. Just looked it up , page 49.

Try John Deere Blitz-Black or Valspar satin black both look good but a slight difference is shade. I use both to give the impression different parts came from different sources. Also the VHT engine enamel is nice, bit more sheen than the others.

Recently, purchased 12 cans of Krylon 1613 semi-flat from Toolup.com for $5.25 per can + about 7$= for shipping. Shipped quickly. It could be less elsewhere but who has time to save couple of $s in looking and traveling from one store to another.

The good old Krylon #1613 Semi-Flat Black we're used to is now sold ONLY through INDUSTRIAL channels - the retail product (hardware & big-box stores) has been re-formulated; the "5-Ball" Industrial product is LACQUER, as it always was in the past, and the re-formulated retail store product is ENAMEL.

Note that Blitz Black changed formulas a few years ago too, so test it to see if you like it.
I'd go with the Industrial Krylon if you wish to paint it.

Krylon 1613 Semi-Flat Black. Got mine on line. Comes in a 6 pack. This is the original formula.

Agree with Larry and others regarding online. I bought some 1613 recently at toolup also. I doubt you'll find anybody local that has this in stock, but maybe you'll get lucky. Some places that claim to have it, really only have the 51613 retail version which is much different as JH noted.
