has anyone sat down and ordered a new vette? is it a pain? I will be renting one this week and will make a decision on buying after seeing how my fake hips like the seats.

Re: new vette
Start with http://www.chevrolet.com/
select PERFORMANCE
select CORVETTE
select a model
select BUILD & PRICE from there let you mouse lead you on.
After a few pages you will find an option to have a dealer contact you, if you haven't already chosen a dealer. From there finding if the dealer has an allocation and negating the price is all that is left. In my case the owner of the store was an NCRS member and price was done before I ever talked to a salesman. The owner and I had done that over beverages at a Regional.Terry- Top

Re: new vette
If I were buying a new or later model Corvette I'd talk to Tom Hendricks at Bud's Chevrolet (St Mary's Ohio). He's a frequent poster here and very helpful guy. Not sure if you're close to his location, but probably worth talking/emailing/PM'ing him at a minimum IMHO if he doesn't respond directly to this post.- Top

Re: new vette
ordered two Corvettes, a Suburban, three other Chevys by listing options (RPO's) and checking the ones I want then giving to dealer. It was simple and painless each time. So was price negotiation. The hardest part has always been colors. Call Tom.I do what Terry suggests weekly as a permanent exercise. Good luck. Steve
