Assembling my 69 Roof Panels

I'm about to assemble my roof panels(painted with lacquer) and was wondering if there is anything to watch out for or if it's pretty straight forward.

I'm mostly concerned about installing the front stainless trim and what type of sealant to used for the new weatherstripping. Thanks

Greg, I did my '77 awhile back and used only 3M adhesive for the weatherstripping. I did polish the panels before I installed the trim and was very careful not too scratch the paint using toilet paper in spots to protect them. Steve

Hi Greg,
I didn't remove the front piece of ss trim on my roof panels so can't offer any advice about getting them back in place with out harm to the paint.
There was a piece of foam sealer under the long side piece of ss trim.
I don't know if you saw that when you disassembled your roof panel. You might try to duplicate that strip with something from the home store.
When I installed the weather strip I did it in four sections using regular weatherstrip adhesive. Doing each side in sequence seemed to help me from putting too much pressure on the 'corners' as I worked around the weatherstrip.
