    75 roadster tire question

Sorry for being on the board so much, but it seems that rebuilding a 40 year old car has a lot in common with a murder mystery. I dont know if I am the victim, or its the car. I do know that previous owners are certainly the perp!
Todays question..... does the spare tire indicate how the factory supplied the road tires?
My tank sheet is basically unreadable, but I think I saw QRN, blackwall tires. But all tire options start QR, so Im not sure I can rely on that.
The spare is original, mold seams, date codes and all. And it is a blackwall tire. So can I assume factory blackwalls?

Yes, when your car was delivered to the selling dealer all five tires matched. After that all bets are off.

      Ross,

I believe QRN was the GR70 x 15 BSW standard equipment tire. (no extra charge)
QRM was the White stripe nylon steel-belted radial tires GR70 x 15 / option price $35
      QRZ was the GR70 x 15 raised-white-letter steel-belted radial tires / option price $48

Best of luck with your car; I've had a '72 conv. since 1985

      Dan.
