    Removal of power window regulators

What is the best procedure for removing power window regulators from the door of a 60 Corvette.
    Need to replace the motors.
I did a search and could not find anything.
    Thanks

On my 57, they come right out (and back in). The secret is in the process. They are about the first thing to go in, and the last to come out. I would think 60 would be very similar, but my 57 does not have the steel braces. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. With every thing removed, adjust the motor (if you can) so the arm is horizontal. Remove the 3 screws and the wires (the ground is the hardest), and move the regulator with the motor back and out the large opening.

Why do you need to replace the motors? They are sealed and the inside is generally like new. I just took mine apart to replace the wires, which are always bad. It they just don't work, check out the wiring and CB first.

        Dan,
It is a friend of mines car and he said they don't work.
Possibly he should hot wire test them, the problem might be in the wiring or the switches.
        Thanks,

Bruce, I don't think both motors are bad. By all means check the wiring. Check the CB on the firewall, even short across it. Also check the ground wire. That should be on the lower dash reinforcement, although 58 may be different as the dash is different.
