    Exhaust system question -c 2

My 66 427-450 is getting a new complete exhaust system and I am not sure of the correct exhaust clamp positioning on the pipes. Should the front clamps (at the exhaust pipe to extension pipe) be positioned with the nuts up or down (vertically), or facing the inside or outside (horizontally)? Also positioning at the chrome extensions behind the mufflers?

Front Clamps the nuts are facing down and don't forget the 2 ground straps for radio cars.
Rear clamps on chrome extensions- the nuts face inward on both sides
    Good luck

Thanks for that good information. I want to do it right the first time. (can barely wait for Spring up here in Ontario!).

As an aside, Joseph, do side pipe cars have exhaust ground straps, as well? The ground strap kit from Paragon shows only 4 total straps.

No ground straps on sidepipe cars.
