A.I.R. pump bracket for 74 BB any different than for SB

Can any one tell me if the BB A.I.R. pump mounting bracket is different than the one for small blocks and what the part number is? This is for a 74. Also would the bracket for a 74 BB differ from any other year BB?

        Russ------

The big block bracket for 68-74 Corvettes was completely different from the small block bracket. The big block bracket was a fabricated steel bracket; the small block bracket was cast iron (66-67 big block brackets were cast iron, too, but different than small block).

The 68-74 big block bracket was GM #3919890. Attached is a photo of an original 3919890. Note the manufacturer's ID "triangle with a T" and the two very slightly raised circles on either side on the rear of the bracket (not visible with the bracket installed). These identify an original GM piece.

BEWARE: there are some reproduction brackets out there that are WAY off spec and will absolutely not fit properly NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. These brackets appear just fine UNTIL YOU TRY TO INSTALL THEM. These bogus brackets can be identified by tiny punch marks at each bend as pictured below. How much are these brackets worh. Well, I think that scrap metal is going for about 200 bucks a ton now or 10 cents a pound. These brackets weigh about 14 ounces so I'd say they're worth about 9 cents.
