How to remove bumpers while preserving alignment

I am getting ready to paint the car and need to remove the bumpers. I seem to remember it being quite fiddly to get them looking good. Is there a good way to mark things so that they will go back on in about the same position?

It can be difficult to get everything lined up. I think the best way is to install everything loose and adjust as you tighten.

Agree with Bob. Just don't mix and match the brackets during re-assembly.
