1965 early production - lower rocker molding screws

Hello to all;

Spring is almost here for all of us suffering in the North........ My 65' is an early production car (2124 Vin; from November 13, 64). I will be changing my rocker panel moldings & the lower rocker panel molding screws (14 pcs.) are either black or bright metal color, depending on the changeover date. Could anyone shed light on which color screws I should install for this vehicle production date? Thank you in advance. David K

My 65' is an early production November build car too. Also northeast weather beaten. My screws were RUST. Not even a hint to the original finish. When I showed mine years ago, now just enjoy it, I used black colored screws and never a question arose.
