    1969 Plug Wire Replacement Connectors

I need to replace two plug wires on my L36 with radio. I believe I can remove the wires from the mesh shielding, but of course that means I'll have to replace the metal connectors. The boots on each end aren't original, but are in good condition so I want to reuse them.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the connectors? I know someone who has a variety of crimpers, so hopefully he'll have a pair that will work with whatever connectors I can find. If it makes a difference I plan to use 7mm "wire".

I've read that the boots on the plug end should be the 45 deg variety and gray in color (and mine are). I've also read that available boots on new wire sets are about 2" in length instead of 2.5". Does the length refer to the entire boot, the larger part (over the plug) or the smaller part (over the wire)?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Just pry up the ends on the distributor end and recrimp on the new wire.
