    1969 Side Exhaust Rocker Molding

    I have a original N14 car that I am doing a frame off restoration and have a question about the finish on the fiber glass/insulation cover that replaces the Rocker Molding? The fiber glass looks good with a dull dark gray/black color and fiber glass strands present. There are no cracks or broken holes where the piece attaches. My question is, should I put a coat of wax on the fiber glass or leave it as is with the 'dull' finish? Thanks for any information. Steve

      Are talking about the section where there are holes for mounting the exhaust cover to the body? Above the chrome section of the cover?

          Paul,I guess I should have been more descriptive. Yes, I am talking about the fiber glass strip above the chrome exhaust covers where it bolts to the body. Thanks for the question. Steve

              That item had a semi-gloss black finish and fiberglass strands are present under the finish.
