1962 bumper braces bracket removal

Had a productive day in the shop removing the fuel tank and 3 of the 4 corner brackets. One of the things I could not figure out was how do you remove the rear bracket that runs from one side of the car to the other it is loose but I cannot figure out to remove it... The body will lift without removing it, it wall fall out once the body is raised, what am I missing?

It will not fall out. You have to twist and turn and pull on it to get it out. Just as much fun putting it back in as well.
