    mysterious part

    Hello

Today I found the following two white plastic things in the seating area of my 63. I absolutely do not have a clue what they are and where they belong?

    Attached is a picture.

Could you please help to identify what it is?

    Thank you very much

They appear to be the seat back 'bumpers'. Attached to the lower seat with phillips head screws.

Here's a image from my '66. Virtually the same. Like I said, a phillips head screw holds the plasitc bumpers in place.

          Hi Michael

I just looked again, it's not that part. They are smaller. The one's in your picture are already there.?

            Yours appear longer (taller).

I checked, the one's on my seat are bigger, exactly like the ones in your picture. I do not have a clue where the two here belong. Maybe not on a 63?

              Thanks

                Kuedi,
Those plastic spacers look to be ones available that will set the seat back in a more vertical position. More common on a c3 because the seat backs on these cars is more reclined. I made taller versions of aluminum for better durability. I have a set on both seats of my 68 because I do not find the reclined back comfortable at all. Along with them are rectangle spacers on the latch catches too so the seat backs sit straight.

                  Hello,

Ok, maybe they came with my 70 Corvette. However, won't need them so far.

                  Thank you.
