Bench test C1 generator?

Is there a recommended method to bench test a C1 generator? I have three of them and want to use the most effective one for my restoration project. Thanks in advance for your help.

Jill, You can "motor the generator". See this link for the procedure. 3rd paragraph.

It will give you a idea of condition. The procedure is in the Passenger Car shop manual, here is a '55.....

It comcast's weird username prefix....the "tilde" character..... ~
