1960 Dual Point Distributor Restoration Service - who do you recommend?

I am looking to restore my 1960 283/270hp Dual Point Distributor back to "as left the factory" specs/appearance. I would appreciate referrals to dependable and trustworthy source. Many thanks in adavance.

Dave Fiedler at TI Specialty (www.tispecialty.com). Dave does both TI and non-TI distributors.

I believe Bill Clupper who can be contacted through this board also does distributor restoration but I'm not sure.

Thank you gentlemen. I called Dave Fielder and he indicated that he only services 62 and later distributors. The 61 and earlier distributors are quite a bit different in design and Dave does not have the equipment/parts to service these distributors. Still seeking any and all recommendations. Many thanks.

Thank you Jerry for the referral.

I ended up going with Don Baker out of southern IL as I felt comfortable with his service approach/experience. A real straight up individual willing to spend time answering any questions that you may have while educating you on the process. Don is keenly aware of NCRS guidelines/factory practices.

I will follow up and post comments on the services I have received and my resulting satisfaction levels. For those interested, Don's contact information is as follows:

Well, my 891 Dual Point Distributor has just returned from a brief trip to Don Baker located in Sandwich, IL. To say I am pleased would be an understatement. The quality and attention to detail of Don's work is simply amazing, I could not be more pleased. I received a detailed spec sheet. Pricing is reasonable. I would not hesitate for one second referring Don's services to fellow forum members. I would be glad to field any questions you may have regarding Don's quality of services. Feel free to PM or call me at 262-488-7220.
