What years were these used? They are a flanged head with a dished dot in the very center with "NYLOK" around the dot. I know they were NOT on 62's, and I know the pair I found are off a 61. How long did they predate 61? Sorry about the misspelling in the title. It is NYLOK

Jerry,
Thanks! The pair I have came off a 61 base-motor Corvette. I've added a picture; how do the others you have seen differ from this one?P2161787.jpg- Top

Mike,
Under similar threads listed below, I had posted a picture of the two different styles on my '58.

The only Nylok/nylon patch bolt I've ever seen on a C1-C3 Corvette was on the 7/16" 12-point 3/8"-24 clamp bolts on the steering coupler ("rag joint") attachment to the steering gear input shaft and to the steering column shaft, but I haven't seen them all.- Top

Re: NYLOCK coil to intake bolts--what years used them?
My first thought was that of Ken and others as I have never seen a nylon/locking nut used on a Corvette BUT have seen the NYLOCK BRAND NUT used in various positions on earlier Corvettes. NYLOCK was just one of multiple vendors that were given specs on the needs of GM. Thanks to Don for jogging my memory.
