    Painting my 56

    I am about to repaying with laquer after my original restoration 15 years ago. I still have exact paint match and I am curiouswhatthe consensus is about clearcoatingthe laquer since it is no longer available. Do I really loose future value. Any responses welcome. I have judged thecarpreviously andreceivedseveral top flights district and regional I am past that stage.

      Just do it in solid urethane and have a much better, and long lasting system.

          I agree. Even with the clear over it the lacquer will still do all the things that lacquer does over time.
