Does anyone know of a good rebuilder in the San Francisco Bay Area, preferably someone on the peninsula. My 1966 base engine needs a rebuild and I don't possess the necessary mechanical skills ( I believe it has 169,000 miles on it). Also I am afraid of losing the engine stamping, what can be done about this? If they deck the block won't that get removed? Of course I want to keep the stamping intact. Any Help is appreciated, Thanks, Bob.

Simple. Just tell the rebuilder that you absolutely don't want the block to be decked and emphasize the point. The folks at S&S, if you were to use them, will fully understand. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
