    Big Block Dipstick Seal

    The 1967 AIM lists a dipstick tube to oil pan seal as number 3738405. Is this just a common o-ring or something more elaborate? Is it still available?

      It's a square cross section "o-ring". Since July, 1966 it's been known as GM #274244 and it remains available to this day.

          Its been 20 years since I tried to get a part for my old Corvettes from a Chevy dealer but I'll see if they have 274244.
