Does the parking brake cable to the right side attach anywhere to the differential front support bracket? I am replacing all u-joints, rear suspension, and re-installing the rebuilt differential, but do not think the brake cable was correct before as it was only bracketed to the crossmember approximately 12" on each side of where it stretched across the support bracket without any security below the drive shaft attachment. This was never a problem and this '63 is a driver and not a show car, but trying to put it back as correct as practical. Thanks for any advice and a good photo of the cable housing crossing the support bracket would really be helpful. I have reviewed similar related threads but couldn't find any of the same. Thanks again, jim

Re: C2 parking brake cable routing
Timothy,
Thank you so much as this is exactly what I needed. I have owned this car for 29 years and that cable clamp on top of the differential support has not been there since I've owned it. I thought there should be something to keep it clear of the drive shaft but couldn't find it in my AIM or any of the other references I have. Your pictures are perfect.- Top

Jim,
Glad to help out, that last thing you want is to get that cable tangled up with the rear yoke.- Top
