Re: Instructions on restoring complete interior (1979 model)
Hi Al
Hopefully someone will respond that has done a 79 as I haven't. I have done c2's and earlier c3's and it isn't that difficult IF you take your time. I will follow up with you if there are no other responses. What needs to be replaced, carpet, door panels, console, seat covers, dash?

Re: Instructions on restoring complete interior (1979 model)
As I see it, here's part of the problem - does it really need the whole interior? Or more specifically what parts does it need? Seats and carpets?
Or even dash, steering column and wheel, and more?
Replacing/restoring the whole interior, as you describe, could easily take a small book to describe. So, I think your question is languishing here because even the words "whole interior" is more than anyone wants to try and describe in a forum post.
If you could be more specific, or even post photos, I think it would go a long way towards helping us understand what you need.
One tip - photograph everything from every angle now, and even more as you take it apart. Photos in today's world are free, so you can't take too many and have to worry about cost.
They will be invaluable as you reassemble, as you WILL for get how some items go back together. The lay of the carpet, order of assembly, etc can often be determined by looking at your photos when you have the new parts in hand and it has been 2 months since you took something apart.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Re: Instructions on restoring complete interior (1979 model)
Patrick is correct it would take a lot to post about a full interior resto. one other thing is to bag and tag all the nuts, bolts, screws, and retainers. and when the assy is restarted you'll have this board to help you along the way, plus the pic.s you take. The tough part will be remembering the bolt and screw length, plating of the bolts so remember these and there positions. Keep in mind its only nuts and bolts. If you have the Service Manuel(s) for your year this should help with taking everything apart. Try and keep all the original parts you can and just re-dye those parts.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
