How does one tell an original from a repro??? I noticed some have just the part # and some have the part # and letters (example: 3925522DH) Is there other markings/stampings to look for??? Guess I should mention this is for a '68 L36. Thanks in advance.

I don't recall seeing broadcast codes (i.e. the 2 alpha character suffix to the part number) on these AIR pump pulleys, but it's very possible that some may have had them. I don't think you can tell the difference from an original to a reproduction simply by whether it has the broadcast code or not.
I can tell you this: originals of this particular pulley are hard to find and will cost you BIG $$$$$$. The reproductions I have seen in the past looked very good to me.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Personally, I think it's difficult to tell an original from a repro. It's especially difficult because, regardless of what some folks might think, I don't think that all originals were exactly the same or conform to someone's expectation that only a certain, exact configuration is acceptable.
Therefore, I'd buy a repro at a repro price. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Hi Blair
REpop does not have the GM stamp S on the opposite side of the 3925522
Also original 5522 does not have DH stamped behind it.
Unless repops are made better which I don;t think it is missing the S stamped logo.
I have a bunch of smog pumps with original pullies.
Hope this helps. G- Top
