What are the differences in the rpro. Main air cleaner housing and the originals? What do the judges look for to spot them? These are the ones from Podel.

Dave, Better off changing your post with 63 to 65 FI for results. Podell's new repro air cleaners are quite nice. The S tube has the wrinkles or crinkles in it like the original. As far as judging goes I don't know.
Nice thing about the repro is that it has held down the prices on the originals. That's how nice his AC is. John

Thanks John; yea I've been working on too many sharks lately.
I have a GM 63 air can on a mid 65 and I have a chance to trade someone with the proper latch set up. His car is a mid 63 car so if we switch we both gain. His is not GM but the Podel type. He was recently judged at a regional and lost some points for the latches being in the wrong spot for his year. I talked with Jack P. And he went through the whole build process on how they were built. Your input makes me feel better about the trade but would rather trade GM for GM .
