69 PS Master Cylinder - Again

I've read many of the numerous posts on this topic, so please forgive me for bringing it up again. After looking at the casting number on my original master cylinder I can understand the confusion about whether an 8 is a 6 or vice versa. The photo I've attached is the best I could get with the part installed. In this photo the third digit does appear to be a 6 and the last digit appears to be an 8 - meaning I have an original 5460348.

Having said this, my question is about the date stamp - below the front brake line connection. As you can see from my second photo, there are on two clearly readable digits - "49". There might be a third character, but it's unreadable. From what I've read in other posts, I should expect to find four digits, but inconsistencies aren't unheard of.

Any thoughts about what I have - or don't.

Mike I have looked at a few of the date codes on master cylinders and I believe the problem is that the date stamps where applied poorly and most of the time even with a magnifying glass you can sometimes barely read them, The master cylinder stamps are likely the smallest of the date stamps we see. I would say you would receive the benefit of doubt on your stamp. My guess on the last digit in stamp is the number 9.
