1962 hardtop front release handles

Can anyone tell me the correct length of the front handle on a 62 hardtop?
Did they have two different lengths or are the replacements different than the factory?
By chance are the hardtop and soft top the same?

Original handles were the "short" version and replacement handles were the long version.
The tip end of the long handles will just barely (on many tops) touch the headliner and original short ones will not. I have both packed away in a deep dark hole somewhere, but they're not where I can easily get to them to take a comparison picture.
And NO, hardtop and soft top latches are not the same, they are made at slightly different angles.
