    Paint on Sparkplugs?

    Where the sparkplugs in place when the engine was painted at Tonawanda circa 1968/69?
    '69 Blue/Blue L36 Vert w/ 4-Spd

          Yes, they were. Original plugs will show orange around the base, as I believe that a tube-like cover was over the shaft of each plug.
