63 Fuel Filler Drain Hose Size

Hello,
Was the original fuel filler neck drain hose on the 63's smaller in diameter than later (64-67's)? My car has a nipple that accepts a smaller hose then typically sold nowadays.
Since "others" had their fingers in this car, I don't know if it is the correct nipple or if it is a inferior over the counter piece.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have the original drain hose and nipple. The smaller size was unique for the 63 model year.

The diameter of the hose and nipple was increased for the new 64 model.

Unfortunately, the hose was missing. I should be able to find one that fits. Would you recollect, if the original 63 hose had any ribs in it?
