70 4 speed interlock cable routing

I have the AIM and it shows how to rout the cable. It just seems really close the the clutch fork. (Above the clutch fork) Do I need to manipulate the cable bend for more clearance?

Does this sound about right? Does someone have a picture from underneath showing the routing past the bell housing and around the clutch fork? (May be tough to get a picture I know)

Mine did not have a cable when purchased. As a result I have no reference.

    Thanks,

    Bill

It does run pretty close to the clutch fork. Attached are photos from a 1969 but I believe it's the same as 1970.

        Thank you Joe.

That is exactly what I had. It just seemed maybe it was too close to the fork.

I will continue with the reassembly.

By the way, although the "Mickey-Mouse" clip is not installed, the flange on the cable is fully seated against the bracket. So, the position of the cable is the final, installed position.
