1965 Windshield Wiper Motor Rebuild

I have disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled my wiper motor. The "hi" speed wiper does not work on the bench. Does anybody have a schematic for the wiper motor?

Search for a post on ncrs. I can't find it right off though, but it had a schematic drawing depicting the wiring. Anyhow, when you ground the contact to make your low speed work, if at the same time ground the other outer of the three contacts the high speed wiper should work. both outer contacts need to be grounded at the same time in other words. It worked for me.

Wilcox Corvette has many docs and a great reference library.

Here is their 63-67 doc with schematic.

However it doesn't have a motor internal wiring diagram. Check your yellow wire contact points inside the motor. Chances are there's a bad connection inside where it connects to the resistor.

Thank you for your help with the problem. I realized that I had not installed the 3/16" ball bearing on the armature end and that I had not cleaned the thermal overload contacts. After performing these procedures, the motor works perfect.
