63 gauge cluster

I'm in the middle of restoring the gauge cluster for my '63 SWC. I've searched the archives and found several recomendations for SEM 39143 or Krylon 1613 paint for the semi gloss black but not much of anything mentioned for the silver used around the gauge bezels. Anybody have any suggestions? What have you guys been using?

I am thinking about painting the cluster on my car as well and here where i live i can not get hold of any Krylon paint

Is the Krylon 1613 semi gloss black paintjust regular spray paint on a can?

It is regular spray paint but I don't think it is semi gloss. I think it is more like a satin finish. Semi gloss is much too shinny. I took my gauge cluster to a paint store and they mixed up some silver paint and put it into a spray can for me.

for the silver, i used long islands dull aluminum rattle can. for the black, i always use SEM semigloss black. mike

Thanks Bob and Mike I will try satin on a sheet of cardboard and semi gloss black on another sheet of cardboard and see which one looks most like the gauge cluster
