I'm on the road and do not have my manuals handy. Is this the correct crank case hose for my '69 L36? Thanx,

I guess that is the correct service replacement. The TIM&JG describes it as: "GM, 3919891" on two lines, Stamped A, Yellow stripe and lettering "EB78C91, D0505 9" which matches this nice picture of an original someone posted on the board awhile ago. He was actually providing a pic of the clamp but it happens to provide some relevant details on the hose.Attached Files'69 Blue/Blue L36 Vert w/ 4-Spd

Correct. I guess I should have stated that 3916380 is the service replacment. The assembly line 3919891 is difficult to find and VERY expensive should you stumble on one. Here are a few pictures:

Ed,
Thanx for the great pix. Now just let me know when you'll be away from home with the garage door open.

Re: Crank Case Vent Hose for 69 L36
GM #3919891 was the original PRODUCTION part number used for 1968-72. It was also available in SERVICE until October, 1971. At that time, it was replaced by the GM #3916380.
GM #3916380 was once used in PRODUCTION, too. However, it had only ONE PRODUCTION application and that application is a quite rare one------1967 Z-28 Camaro of which only 602 were ever built.
Given that the 3919891 was discontinued so long ago, I'm not surprised that it's difficult to find today, at least in NOS condition. I wouldn't be too much a fan of a used piece like this as it would most likely be hardened and brittle.
Here's a way to get pretty close: have rubber stamps made up just like the script seen on the original 3919891 hose. Wipe the printing off a GM #3916380 using acetone or a similar solvent. Stamp the hose with the rubber stamp using either white or yellow ink.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I think the only difference between the 3919891 and 3916380 is that the latter has one end which is a little longer than the former. That can be corrected with a sharp knife or razor blade. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Thats a pic of the original on my car. Its hard, but not that brittle. I saw one in Kissimmee...I think the guy wanted $350 for it. Likely a part that has been in his traveling museum of parts that nobody has bought for 10 years.- Top
